Cards come in four different suits - Clubs, Spades, Hearts and Diamonds, and each of them has 13 ranks (Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 ,2), the specific thing in Texas Holdem is that the Ace can be either the highest poker card, as it is in most cases or the lowest. The play of Free Texas Holdem involves four betting rounds, but before the action starts players must put an Ante, or usually to post the Blinds. Then the action begins with dealing to each player two facedown cards (hole/pocket cards) and the first betting round, called the pre-flop, as it begins with the player to the immediate left of the dealer and rotates clockwise. After that, dealer discards three face-up community cards on the board and the second betting round starts, it is also known as the flop. When the flop ends, another community card is discarded, followed by the third round of betting, called the turn. The fifth community card is dealt face-up on the board and the final betting round begins. When it finishes, all remaining players in the game reveal their hands and the player with the best poker hand is the winner. When playing Free Texas Holdem players are allowed to use both their pocket cards and the five community cards, in order to form the best five- card combination.
FREE TEXAS HOLDEM - Antes and Blinds
The method of posting Antes is used mostly in home games and is not very common with texas holdem, although Antes are a set amount put in the pot by every player in the game prior to cards being dealt. Antes does not count toward your bet on the first round of betting. Unlike Antes, Blinds count toward your total investment toward the first round of betting. The Small Blind is posted by the first player to the dealers' left, while the Big Blind is posted by the second player.
